Whoop-Up Days at Exhibition Park in Lethbridge released the contestant lineup for the new rodeo format called Bucking & Barrels Can-Am Pro Challenge.
“The format was changed to give the rodeo fans more entertainment.
With Bucking & Barrels, it will be Canada versus USA. Thus, the Can-Am Pro Challenge. ,” stated Doug Kryzanowski, Manager of Marketing at Exhibition Park.
“Some great rodeo names have accepted the invitation to attend this inaugural event like Luke Butterfield, Saddle Bronc World Champion, Jesse Kruse, Saddle Bronc World Champion, Jason Parsonage and Tyler Pankewitz in Bullriding, plus Lethbridge barrel racer Raylee Edwards and Brooks barrel racer Lynette Brodoway and contestants from across North America. This is pro from the word go, and it will be a rocking good time for the rodeo fans while cheering for Canada every night to beat the USA team.”
The format categories will be Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Ladies Barrel Racing and
Bull Riding. Four Canadian cowboys and lady barrel racers in each division will
challenge the four USA team of cowboys and lady barrel racers.
There will be a Champion every night in each division with the same contestants
riding for the 3 performances.
In addition to the bucking and barrels, Niki Flundra will feature her specialty act
Whoop-Up Days dates are Tuesday, August 23 to 27th.
Bucking & Barrels Can – Am Pro Challenge performances will go on Thursday,
August 25, Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27. All performances are at
7:30 pm. at the Exhibition Park Grandstand.
Bucking & Barrels is produced by Kesler Championship Rodeo who will also supply
world championship stock for the event.
Tickets in advance, $12, are available at Gas King Locations in Lethbridge and
Picture Butte up to midnight, August 22.
From August 23 and on, regular gate tickets are available $15 at Gas King or at the gate.
Rodeo is part of the entertainment included in the one-pay gate for Whoop-Up
Days which also include concerts, and other family entertainment in the Park.
