George Strait had some exciting news for fans this past week with the announcement of a couple of brief engagements at the new Las Vegas Arena in 2016. And now, due to the overwhelming ticket demand, George has added more dates to his Vegas schedule.

The country superstar will play the Las Vegas Arena on Dec. 2 and 3, 2016. These dates are in addition to his already announced shows on April 22 and 23, along with performances on Sept. 9 and 10. George will be one of the first performers to headline the Las Vegas Arena, which will seat close to 20,000 fans.

“I’m very excited to be coming back and playing for the fans out there,” George noted in a statement. “I’m really, really looking forward to playing in the new Las Vegas Arena.”

George has previously stated that he will no longer tour extensively but will play occasional dates that catch his interest, giving fans their first opportunity to see the superstar in concert since his The Cowboy Rides Away farewell tour in 2014.

Tickets for all dates will go on sale Friday, Oct. 2. And look for more on George in the Oct. 26 issue of Nash Country Weekly.
