Rodeo Country Radio's Terry Middleditch talks backstage at Nashville North with Corb Lund today before he takes the stage later on the opening night of the Calgary Stampede.
Corb shares details on his family ties to the Calgary Stampede including competing as a young steer rider and moving on his teen years to spending 8 years in a rock band. Even then, his cowboys roots weren't that far away. His roots have been a wellspring to draw from like his most well known songs like Truck Got Stuck & Hair in the Face Like A Highland Steer
This is a busy weekend for Corb as he plays Nashville North tonight, hopes on a plane in the early morning to catch a flight to Fort Worth to play a festival with Merle Haggard at Billy Bob's Texas later in the day and back to Calgary to perform at Spruce Meadows on Saturday. Later in the month he will play rodeos In Holstein, Ontario & Tepee Creek Alberta and folk festivals in the Yukon & NorthWest Territories. He's one busy guy....make sure you catch Corb Lund & The Hurtin' Albertans show when they come to your town.
