After a long admired, award-winning career in country radio, our very own Doug Veronelly has announced his retirement from The Odd Squad. Doug has played a vital role not only in the Calgary country radio scene, but in the hallways of Country 105, and while we know how much we’ll miss him here at Country 105, we are certain that our listeners will miss waking up to him on the airwaves much, much more.

“Doug’s open mind, large radio presence, and stability has allowed The Odd Squad to grow into what it is today,” says Phil Kallsen, Program Director, Country 105. “We send a heartfelt thank you to Doug for his many years as part of the Country 105 family and wish him all the best on his retirement.”

“It’s a bittersweet ending for me. Leaving my radio family is hard but at the same time, I am very happy to be able to spend more quality time with my family at home,” says Doug. “I thank everyone at Country 105 and all of our listeners for their support and kindness over the last two decades. It’s been a great run.”

A special farewell show will air Friday, September 23rd with Doug, Robyn, and Dan. Please join us in saying farewell as Doug hangs up his headphones one last time.
