Luke Bryan‘s Farm Tour is off to a rocky start, thanks to rain that continues plummet the south.
The singer was forced to postpone last night’s Farm Tour concert in Lexington, KY and has now postponed tonight’s show in Knoxville, TN as well as tomorrow’s concert in Columbia, SC.
“I know you guys are mad. I am heartbroken,” the Georgia native wrote on Twitter after announcing the postponement of tonight’s show. “We schedule farm tour in October because it is historically the driest month of the year. Atvs were bogging up. I will play in the rain but I can’t strand you guys in your vehicles for days. Been doing farm tours for seven years and this is the first time we’ve encountered this. We will learn and constantly get better. So sorry. Farm tour has forever been a growing dream of mine. This year is our biggest so far. Hang in there with me. I swear I will make it count. Seeing country fans pile into places where no one ever thought a show would ever be possible is the most gratifying ever. Love yall.”
According to Luke’s website and recent social updates, the Lexington show has been rescheduled for October 6, and the Columbia show will now take place October 11. The Knoxville show, however, has yet to be rescheduled at this time. Tickets for the rescheduled shows will be honored on the new show day.
The remaining shows on the superstar’s annual Farm Tour include:
October 6 Lexington, Kentucky Talon – Farm & Winery
October 7 Starkville, Mississippi – Holtzcamp Farms
October 8 Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Twin Creeks Farm
October 9 Macon, Georgia – Midway at Central City Park
October 10 Valdosta, Georgia – MJ Taylor Farms
October 11 Columbia, South Carolina – Culler Farms
A portion of the ticket proceeds are granted for local college scholarships (“Luke Bryan Farm Tour Scholarship”) to students from a farming family within the communities the tour plays.
