Garth Brooks will be headed north just in time for some slightly warmer weather. The country superstar has announced his first concert appearance in Ottawa, Ontario in almost 20 years in April.
Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, embarked on his massive comeback world tour last year, marking his return to the road after more than a decade of absence while he devoted his time to his family. The tour has been a smash success, selling out multiple nights in many cities across the United States. Brooks has recently been turning his attention North of the border — he’ll perform in Hamilton, Ontario in March, and he announced on Wednesday (Jan. 13) that he will also perform at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on April 2 at 7PM.
Tickets for the Ottawa date will go on sale Jan. 22 at 10AM ET, with an eight ticket limit per purchase. Tickets are available exclusively through the Canadian Tire Centre website or by calling 1-844-4-GarthB (1-844-442-7842) for Visa, MC or American Express. There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or outlets on Jan. 22. All seats will cost a total of $79.98 (CAD).
Brooks’ tour kicked off last year, and is slated to last as long as three years. Pollstar crowned him the top touring country artist for the first half of 2015, and Brooks topped Forbes‘ year-end list of the highest-earning stars in country music, with total earnings of $90 million.
He and Yearwood received side-by-side stars on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville in September of 2015.
