See PRISM In Concert During Heritage Days at The Strathmore Stampede

Legendary Canadian Super Group PRISM will be Rockin' Heritage Days at the Strathmore Stampede on Friday July 29th in the Gold Arena.

NASA chose Prism’s “Spaceship Superstar” as the official song aboard Space Shuttle Discovery during its historic final flight, which speaks to Prism’s ongoing popularity, even in outer space! Meanwhile, back on earth:

They've sold millions of albums, with songs that have become standards - Spaceship Superstar, Take Me to the Kaptin, Flying, Armageddon, Take Me Away, Young & Restless, Night to Remember, Don’t Let Him Know among them. Prism itself is classic rock.

With two Juno Awards (Canada’s Grammy) for Album & Group of the Year, multi-platinum albums and a continuing legacy of sold-out shows, Prism is a must-see live attraction. The band rocks out the hits more energetically than ever, thrilling audiences nationwide.

Founding member Al Harlow’s showmanship drives Prism forward with award-winning alumni Gary Grace, Tad Goddard and Marc Gladstone’s brilliant performances of the trademark Prism sound.

Every day across the country, radio is playing the many Prism classics. Combine unstoppable world-class concerts, and the best may be yet to come.

“It’s not like they ever really left. The guys … continue to rock with energy”

“HOUSTON – The Space Shuttle Discovery crew members’… last day started with the wakeup song “Spaceship Superstar” by PRiSM. It was chosen for all Discovery crew members by the team of flight controllers who have been supporting them throughout the mission.”
(NASA News: Mission Control Center, Houston Texas, March 6, 2011: Status Report: STS-133-20)

“They’re hardy, these Can-Rock survivors. Prism still enjoy the support of a large and loyal community of fans. They constitute an underground economy of sorts, selling out casinos and clubs as they perennially make their way across the country, joining up for summer classic rock fests in the USA.”
(Edmonton Journal)

“Solar-powered laser-beam guitar! …Prism worked up the crowd of 1,000 Friday night at the CN Centre with some classic Canadian rock. These guys are worthy Canadian rock pioneers and deserve to still be on stage bashing out tunes like Armageddon and Spaceship Superstar… Natural leader Al Harlow …did the group proud. He also lit up a slide blues solo that brought down the house. They are a professional band with a list of hits and a history of success that should not be underestimated.”
(The Citizen)

“Prism unloaded ten chestnuts spanning Spaceship Superstar, Flying, Night to Remember, Take Me Away, Young & Restless, Take Me to the Kaptin to Armageddon. Highlights included Gary Grace’s drum solo and guitar work of hambone Harlow … In all the evening was a well-orchestrated rock down memory lane…rating: 8.5 earplugs out of ten.”

About Guy Weadick Days

Guy Weadick Days is an annual celebration in High River, Alberta named after the famous rodeo legend Guy Weadick, who was a resident of High River. Weadick recognized the appeal of the old west even as far back as 1912 and together with his wife Flores Ladue, he promoted his idea of a wild west show combined with cowboy competitions.  The end result of his efforts was the formation of the first ever Calgary Stampede.  This tradition of rodeo cowboys and top notch entertainment continues on through Guy Weadick Days! This year the event will take place June 23 - June 26, 2016, with 3 Canadian Professional Rodeo performances and 4 World Professional Chuckwagon races. Guy Weadick Days is owned and operated by the High River Agricultural Society. The not-for-profit organization was registered March 1st 1907. It has been an active and integral part of the agricultural community ever since.
